- Audrene EI am in love! I am in Austin for my birthday and saw the ‘soul food’ part and new I had to have it! I ordered the pork chop sandwich, the Cajun Mac n cheese, and the greens! Sassy’s did not disappoint! The flavor was amazing and it def reminded me of how I use to eat before going vegan! Now I truly had soul food because it’s plant based and awesome! Thanks Sassy’s!
- Lyndi TA friend and I visited this past weekend and we were so impressed! The servings are almost like little plates so it’s great for trying a few things! We ordered the cornbread with 3 sides - fried cabbages, black eyed peas and sweet potato, corn on the cob, Mac & cheese and greens. Everything was delicious and it still felt very rich/buttery! It was a happy surprise! I will say, don’t go for a quick bite... they make food to order so be prepared to relax for a minute. Great BIPOC-owned business and awesome food!
- C SWe came originally to try the Happae vegan truck in the same complex, which turned out to be unexpectedly closed during that time. This ended up being a blessing in disguise as we had the opportunity to try Sassy’s soul food instead. We got the chicken and waffles, Mac and cheese, and corn. Everything was SO good! No regrets, we are very happy we got to try it and will definitely be back. Everyone was very friendly as well. Highly recommend!!
